Restaurant Cleaning in East London (E)
Our restaurant cleaning in East London is for restaurants, cafés, takeaways and bars that need the dining room, toilets and kitchen floors cleaned properly once the last table has gone. You run service. We come in after close or before opening and leave the room ready for the next sitting, across E postcodes. Call or send us a few details and photos, and we’ll put together a free, no-obligation quote.
What we clean after the last cover
We work to a checklist agreed with you. A small café counter and a 90-cover dining room with a bar don’t need the same visit, so we don’t pretend they do.
Front of house
- Table tops, edges and bases, plus the undersides where gum and sticky hands end up
- Chair seats, backs and legs, high chairs and booster seats
- Banquette seams, where crumbs and rice collect, and wipe-clean vinyl or leather seating
- Condiment stations, menu holders, service counters and till areas
- Fingerprints on entrance glass, push plates and door handles
- Window ledges, light switches, skirting boards scuffed by mop buckets
- Bar tops, bar fronts, foot rails and the sticky floor behind the bar
Customer and staff toilets
Toilets and urinals inside and out, behind the pan, limescale on taps and flush plates, mirrors, hand dryers, baby change units, bins and floors. Toilets get their own colour-coded cloths and mops. They never go near the kitchen or the dining tables.
Kitchen support
Most kitchen teams clean as they go and handle food-contact surfaces themselves through the night. We pick up the heavier work that’s hard to fit in after a long shift:
- Degreasing hard floors, including corners and along the base of units
- Wall tiles behind prep areas and around sinks
- Stainless steel fronts on fridges, dishwashers and cabinets
- Sinks, drainers and taps
- Door handles, push plates and the outside of bins
For deeper kitchen work, such as clearing and cleaning inside cupboards or tackling built-up grease on walls, see our commercial kitchen cleaning service.
Table and floor sanitation, done in the right order
Most of the difference between a proper clean and a quick wipe is the order you do things in.
Tables: we clean with detergent first to lift grease and food residue, then apply sanitiser and leave it for the contact time on the label. Spraying sanitiser onto a greasy table and wiping it straight off does very little. If your food safety plan specifies a product or dilution for food-contact surfaces, we’ll use that.
Floors: we sweep before we mop, because wet chips and rice just smear. Kitchen and bar floors get a degreaser. We change the water often, so we aren’t spreading the dirty water around the room. On quarry tiles we work the grout lines, where grease darkens first. We leave floors to dry before your team arrives, and we put out wet-floor signs on any area still drying.
Cloths: colour-coded and kept separate for toilets, kitchen, and front of house. They’re laundered or replaced, not rinsed and reused across zones.
Extras we quote separately
Some jobs need more time, different equipment or a planned closure. We’ll price these on their own so you can decide what’s worth doing and when.
- Extractor filters and canopy surfaces: removable baffle filters soaked and degreased, plus canopy surfaces wiped down
- Oven, grill and range interiors
- Behind and under equipment: your staff or engineer will need to safely disconnect gas and fixed appliances first. We don’t disconnect gas.
- High-level dusting of pipework, light fittings and the tops of shelving
- Upholstery and carpet cleaning for dining chairs, banquettes and carpeted areas, which need drying time before you reopen
- Periodic deep cleaning ahead of a relaunch, after a refit or before an inspection you know is coming
When cleaning isn’t the answer
- Extract ductwork: cleaning inside the ducts is a job for a specialist ventilation contractor who can give you the documentation your insurer and fire risk assessment expect. We clean the parts you can reach and remove.
- Pests: if you find droppings or gnawing, call a pest controller first. We can clean once the treatment allows it.
- Blocked drains and grease traps: these need a plumber or drainage company.
- Mould from damp or poor ventilation: we can clean surface mould, but it’ll come back until the cause is fixed.
- Damaged surfaces: cracked tiles, failed sealant or worn flooring can’t be cleaned back to new, and they’re harder to keep hygienic.
Hygiene ratings: what cleaning can and can’t do
We’ll be straight with you. No cleaning company can guarantee a food hygiene rating. Inspectors look at how you handle food, the condition of the building, your records and how you manage food safety. That responsibility stays with you as the food business.
What we can do is make the physical cleaning reliable. If you keep a cleaning schedule or sign-off sheet, we’ll work to it and complete our part every visit, so your records match what actually happened. Inspectors in East London, as everywhere else, notice the places that only get cleaned when someone has time, like under the fryers, the toilet behind the pan and the tops of door frames. Regular scheduled cleaning covers those.
How it works
- Tell us about the premises. Send the cover count or rough size, your opening hours, what you need cleaned and how often. Photos help. For larger sites we may suggest a walkthrough.
- Agree the checklist and quote. We set out tasks room by room, what’s included, what’s extra and the visit times. The price is agreed upfront before any work starts.
- Sort out access. Keys, alarm codes, fobs, rear doors and who locks up are all agreed in writing in advance.
- We clean. We bring commercial-grade supplies and equipment unless you’d rather we used yours. Tell us about any marble tables, oiled timber, natural stone or delicate finishes, and we’ll check product suitability and test patch where it makes sense. Eco-friendly products are available on request.
- Final check. We go back through the checklist before we leave. If something in scope has been missed, let us know promptly and we’ll arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm how that works when you book.
What affects the price
- Size of the dining room, bar, kitchen and toilets
- How heavy the grease and soiling are, especially on a first visit
- The task list and any extras, such as filters or ovens
- Frequency: nightly, a few times a week or weekly
- Timing, such as late-night or early-morning slots
- Access, parking and how far the bins are from the kitchen
Have a look at how we price our cleaning, then send us your details for a quote that fits your premises.
After-hours cleaning around your service
Most of our restaurant work in East London happens once service has finished or before the breakfast trade starts. A few practical things make it run smoothly:
- Locking up: we’ll agree whether we arrive while a manager is still there or let ourselves in after close, and how alarms and keys are handled.
- Rubbish: we’ll check where waste goes, as many E high streets have shared bin stores, rear yards or set collection times.
- Parking: red routes, CPZs and loading bays affect when and where we can unload equipment, so tell us what’s nearby.
- Neighbours: if there are flats above, we keep noise down late at night.
- Short notice: after a busy event or an unexpected spill, we’ll try to fit you in, but it depends on availability.
What restaurant owners say
“We do a busy Sunday lunch and Monday mornings used to be grim. Now the floors behind the bar aren’t sticky, the toilets are done properly and the chairs are back down ready for our breakfast team. They work to the sign-off sheet we keep for the kitchen too.” Daniel R., Walthamstow, restaurant cleaning
“Small café, tight budget, so we only have them twice a week. They got the grease line off the bottom of the kitchen units that had built up for months.” Amira K., Leytonstone, café cleaning
“We added canopy filters to the monthly visit. Our chefs used to do them at the end of a double shift and hated it. Access is easy now too, as they use a key safe at the back and we’ve never had an issue locking up.” Tom H., Shoreditch, restaurant cleaning
“Good at the details. They noticed the high chairs needed doing underneath, which we’d stopped seeing.” Joanna P., Stratford, family restaurant cleaning
Restaurant cleaning FAQs
Can you clean late at night or early in the morning?
Yes. Most restaurant visits are after close or before opening. We’ll agree the times when you book, based on your hours and our availability.
Do you clean food preparation surfaces?
Usually your kitchen team handles food-contact surfaces as part of clean-as-you-go. We can clean and sanitise them as part of an agreed checklist, using the products and dilutions in your food safety plan.
Will a regular clean help us get a better hygiene rating?
It helps with the cleaning part of an inspection, but we can’t guarantee a rating. Inspectors also assess your food handling, records and management, which stay with you.
Do you clean extractor ducts?
No. We clean canopy surfaces and removable filters as an add-on. Ductwork interiors need a specialist ventilation contractor.
Do you bring your own products?
Yes, unless you’d rather we used yours. Tell us about allergen concerns, preferred brands or delicate surfaces before the first visit.
Do you clean cafés and takeaways as well?
Yes. Cafés, takeaways, bakeries and bars across East London get the same agreed checklist, scaled to the size and layout of the premises.
How often should a restaurant be professionally cleaned?
It depends on your trade. Busy dining rooms often need nightly visits, while a small café may manage with two or three a week plus periodic deep cleans. We’ll suggest a pattern when we quote.
