Kitchen Cleaning in East London (E)
Kitchens build up the grime a quick wipe never reaches: tacky grease on the cooker hood, limescale around the tap base, crumbs packed down the side of the fridge. Our kitchen cleaning service in East London gets the room back to clean, usable surfaces for flats, family homes, rentals and small businesses across E postcodes. We bring the products, work to a checklist we agree with you, and quote before we start.
Send us a few photos or give us a call, and we’ll tell you what the job needs and what it’ll cost.
What we clean in a standard kitchen clean
We agree a room checklist with you first, so you know exactly what’s covered. A typical kitchen clean includes the following.
Worktops, splashbacks and tiles
- Worktops cleared, degreased and wiped, including the strip behind the kettle and toaster where crumbs and splashes collect
- Tiled splashbacks cleaned, with attention to grout lines behind the hob, where cooking spray dries into a sticky film
- Glass or stainless splashbacks cleaned and buffed so they’re free of streaks
- Wall tiles and sockets wiped within normal reach
A deep clean of kitchen surfaces and tiles takes longer than a routine wipe. Hardened grease needs a degreaser left to dwell for a few minutes, then a second pass. We build that time into the quote.
Cooker hood, hob and appliance exteriors
Grease removal is usually the biggest part of the job. Cooking vapour settles on everything above and around the hob, then catches dust and turns gummy.
- Cooker hood exterior degreased, including the underside and the edges people forget
- Metal mesh filters soaked and degreased where they can be removed safely
- Hob cleaned, with burner caps and pan supports on gas hobs and careful cleaning of ceramic and induction glass
- Appliance exterior cleaning for the fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and oven door front
- Handles, control knobs and touch panels cleaned, because they carry the most fingerprints
Carbon filters can’t be washed. If yours look saturated, we’ll tell you so you can replace them.
Sink, taps and drainer
- Sink and drainer descaled and cleaned, including the overflow and plughole rim
- Taps descaled at the base and spout, then polished
- Sealant lines cleaned where possible. Mould that has grown into silicone often needs resealing rather than more cleaning
Cupboards, doors and floors
- Cupboard and drawer fronts wiped, with handles and the top edges of doors degreased
- Cupboard tops cleaned where safely reachable, since they’re often coated in dust stuck to grease
- Skirting, door frames and light switches wiped
- Floor vacuumed and mopped, including along the kickboards and the gap in front of the fridge
- Bins wiped outside, with insides cleaned on request
Inside cupboards, the oven and other add-ons
Some tasks take long enough that we quote them separately. That way you only pay for what you need.
- Inside cupboard cleaning add-on: cupboards need to be empty. We vacuum out crumbs, wipe shelves and remove spills from the corners. Tell us if you’d like us to empty and refill them, and we’ll allow time for it.
- Oven interior: a proper inside clean of the oven, racks and trays is specialist work. We arrange it through our oven cleaning service.
- Fridge and freezer interiors: the fridge needs to be emptied, and a freezer needs defrosting beforehand.
- Moving appliances: pulling out a freestanding cooker or fridge to clean behind it is possible where it’s safe, the floor won’t be damaged, and connections allow it.
- High-level work: extractor ducting, ceiling grease and tall unit tops above safe step height are agreed in advance.
If the whole home needs the same treatment, a deep cleaning service covering every room is often better value than booking rooms separately.
When cleaning won’t fix it
We’ll be honest about this before we start, so you don’t pay for a result that isn’t possible.
- Damp and black mould: surface mould can be cleaned, but if it comes back on walls or behind units, the cause is usually condensation, a leak or poor ventilation.
- Damaged finishes: scratched stainless steel, etched marble, burnt laminate and peeling cupboard wraps won’t look new after cleaning.
- Stains in porous surfaces: turmeric in grout and wine rings in unsealed wood often improve, but we can’t promise they’ll go.
- Pests or hazardous waste: droppings, infestations or sharps need a pest controller or specialist clearance before we clean.
How booking a kitchen clean works
- Tell us about the kitchen. Photos of the hob, hood, sink and floor help us judge the condition. Mention the surfaces, such as granite, quartz, oak or high-gloss, plus any pets and allergies.
- We agree the checklist and quote. You’ll see the tasks, any add-ons and the price before anything is booked.
- We arrange access. You can be in, leave keys with a neighbour or use a key safe. We’ll confirm arrival time and parking ahead of the visit.
- We clean. We bring equipment and products, and we work top to bottom so dust and drips don’t land on finished surfaces.
- We check the work. Before leaving, we go through the agreed tasks. If anything in scope has been missed, contact us promptly and we’ll arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm how that works when you book.
Kitchen cleaning checklist: what to do before we arrive
- Clear worktops of small appliances you don’t want moved, or let us know they can be shifted
- Empty cupboards, fridge or freezer if you’ve booked interior cleaning
- Run and empty the dishwasher, and leave the sink free of washing-up
- Remove pet bowls and food, or tell us where they go
- Mention anything that’s loose, broken or recently sealed
- Turn off the hob and leave it to cool if you’ve cooked that morning
What changes the price of kitchen cleaning
Every kitchen is different, so we quote each one on its own. The main factors are:
- Size and layout: a galley kitchen in a converted flat takes less time than a kitchen-diner with an island
- Condition: a hood with months of grease takes much longer than one cleaned regularly
- Task list: interior cupboards, fridge and oven work all add time
- Frequency: one-off kitchen cleans and regular upkeep are priced differently
- Access and parking: controlled parking zones and upper floors without lifts are common across East London, and they affect timing
You can see how we build quotes on our pricing page.
Rented homes, shared houses and small businesses
Kitchens cause the most problems at inventory checks. If you’re moving out, we work from the agent’s cleaning requirements as part of an end of tenancy clean. We can’t repair wear or guarantee a deposit return, but a kitchen cleaned to the checklist gives you the best chance.
Shared houses in East London often have one kitchen and six people’s habits. Let us know which shelves belong to whom, and we’ll leave everyone’s food where it was.
For cafés, staff kitchens and small offices across E, we can schedule around opening hours where possible. Commercial kitchens with food-safety duties may need a walkthrough first. Our clean supports your own hygiene routines, but it doesn’t replace them.
Doing it properly: products and surfaces
- Right product, right surface: acidic descalers are fine on chrome taps but etch marble and some natural stone. Abrasives scratch gloss doors and stainless steel. We check the material before choosing a product.
- Test patches: we test an unfamiliar or delicate finish in a hidden spot first.
- Separate cloths: kitchen cloths stay in the kitchen and are never used in bathrooms.
- Food-safe finish: we follow product dwell times and rinse food-contact surfaces where the label requires it, so worktops are ready to use.
- Disinfecting touch points: handles, taps and switches can be disinfected as part of a kitchen sanitisation request. It reduces germs on those surfaces but doesn’t make a kitchen sterile.
Eco-friendly products are available on request. We’ll check they suit your surfaces and let you know if they’ll struggle with heavy grease.
What customers say
“The cooker hood hadn’t been properly cleaned since we moved in, and the filters were dark brown. They came back silver. The splashback grout is a colour I’d forgotten it was.” Hannah R., Leyton, kitchen clean
“Booked the cupboard add-on before our new fridge arrived. They vacuumed every shelf and wiped the hinges too. Quick and tidy.” Daniel O., Walthamstow, kitchen clean
“We needed the kitchen done before the inventory check. I left the keys with my neighbour, and they followed the agent’s list to the letter, including the extractor and inside the cupboards. The checkout went fine.” Amira K., Bow, end of tenancy kitchen
“Good with our granite worktop. They asked what it was before they put anything on it, which I appreciated.” Tom W., Wanstead, kitchen clean
Kitchen cleaning FAQs
Do you bring your own cleaning products? Yes. We bring products and equipment unless we’ve agreed otherwise. If you’d prefer us to use your own products, let us know when you book.
Can you degrease the cooker hood and splashback? Yes, this is part of a standard kitchen clean. Removable metal filters are degreased too. Very heavy build-up may need extra time, and we’ll flag that in the quote.
Is inside the oven included? No, not automatically. Oven interiors are booked as an add-on or through our specialist oven cleaning service.
Do I need to empty the cupboards? Only if you’ve booked the inside cupboard add-on. We can empty and repack them for you if you’d prefer, but please tell us in advance so we can allow time.
How long does a kitchen clean take? It depends on the size, condition and add-ons. A lightly used kitchen is much quicker than one with a greasy hood and full cupboards. We’ll give you a realistic timeframe with your quote.
Can you clean a kitchen at short notice in East London? Sometimes. Short-notice slots depend on availability, so call us and we’ll tell you what’s open.
Will you remove all stains? Not always. Most marks on sealed surfaces come off. Stains absorbed into grout, unsealed wood or damaged finishes may improve but not disappear, and we’ll tell you honestly before we start.
