Office cleaning in East London – early or evening visits - Cleaning East London

Office Cleaning in East London (E)

Office cleaning in East London works best when nobody notices it happening. The bins are empty, the kitchen’s clear and the washrooms are stocked before your team logs on. We clean offices, studios, co-working floors, agencies and small practices across E postcodes, early in the morning, in the evening or during the working day, on a schedule built around your building.

Tell us about your space and how it’s used, and we’ll put together a free, no-obligation quote. Call 020 3947 0917 or email us.

What a routine office clean covers

A regular visit follows an agreed priorities list. We don’t promise every task on every visit. We set out what gets done daily, what rotates weekly and what’s left for a periodic deep clean, so you know what to expect each time.

Desks, floors and shared areas

  • Vacuuming carpets and carpet tiles, including the crumbs and paper scraps that build up under desks and around chair bases
  • Mopping hard floors in reception, kitchens and corridors
  • Dusting clear desk surfaces, window sills, shelving and partition tops
  • Wiping door handles, light switches, lift buttons and stair rails
  • Cleaning fingerprints off glass entrance doors, meeting-room glazing and partition screens
  • Emptying bins, replacing liners and taking waste and recycling to your designated store

Office kitchens and tea points

Shared kitchens get the most use and the least ownership. We wipe worktops and splashbacks, clean the sink and taps, wipe the microwave inside and out, clean the fridge exterior and handles, and load or unload the dishwasher if that’s part of the agreed list. A full fridge clear-out works better as a scheduled task with notice to staff, so nobody’s lunch goes in the bin by mistake.

Washrooms

We clean and descale toilets, urinals, basins and taps, wipe cubicle partitions and door plates, polish mirrors and mop floors. We’ll refill soap, paper towels and toilet rolls from your stock or ours, whichever you’ve agreed. If your washrooms need daytime checks between cleans, ask about our janitorial services.

Cleaning around desks, screens and equipment

We clean desks so they’re safe for your people and your kit. Here’s how we handle it:

  • Clear desks only. We don’t move papers, open drawers or shift anything that looks like work in progress. If you run a clear-desk policy, we’ll clean the whole surface.
  • Screens and keyboards. We don’t spray liquid onto electronics. Where screen and keyboard wiping is in scope, we use a lightly dampened cloth with a product suited to the surface, and only on equipment that’s switched off or that you’ve said is fine to touch.
  • Server cupboards and comms rooms. We’ll stay out unless you’ve agreed otherwise. If we do go in, it’s floor and surface dust only.
  • Delicate finishes. Tell us about oiled timber desks, marble reception counters, natural stone floors or specialist flooring. We match products to the material and test in a discreet spot first where there’s any doubt.

Daily, weekly or out of hours

The right schedule depends on headcount, footfall and how your office is used.

  • Daily office cleaning suits busy floors, client-facing receptions and shared kitchens that get heavy use.
  • Two or three visits a week often works for smaller teams and hybrid offices where desks sit empty on some days.
  • Out of hours cleaning in the early morning or evening keeps vacuums and mop buckets away from calls and meetings. Many East London offices in converted warehouses and shared buildings also have set access times, so we’ll work to those.
  • Daytime cleaning can suit offices where someone needs to be present, or where a visible cleaner helps with ongoing kitchen and washroom upkeep.

We’ll fit visits around your premises wherever we can. Short-notice extra visits depend on availability, so give us as much warning as possible before an office move, a client event or a board meeting.

Extras and jobs that need separate agreement

Some tasks don’t belong in a routine visit and are quoted separately:

  • Carpet extraction to lift ground-in dirt and spills. See our carpet cleaning service, and plan around drying time, ideally starting on a Friday evening.
  • Internal glazing at height, high-level dusting of ducting, lights and tops of tall cupboards
  • External windows, which we arrange through our window cleaning service
  • Deep cleans of kitchens, including oven interiors, fridge clear-outs and degreasing extractor filters
  • Upholstered chairs and breakout sofas
  • Post-refit or after-builders cleaning, where fine dust settles on every ledge and needs repeated wiping and HEPA vacuuming, not one pass

Some problems need a different trade. Black mould coming back from a cold wall, staining from a roof leak, damaged floor finishes or anything that might involve asbestos or hazardous materials needs a building surveyor or specialist contractor first. We’ll tell you honestly if something isn’t a cleaning job.

How we set up an office cleaning contract

  1. Tell us about the office. Approximate floor area, number of desks, washrooms and kitchens, flooring types, building access times and how often you’d like visits.
  2. Walkthrough. For most commercial work we’ll visit, so we can see the layout, the waste store, the cleaning cupboard and any surfaces that need particular care.
  3. Agreed scope and quote. You’ll get a written task list split into daily, weekly and periodic jobs, with the price agreed upfront. If you need specific standards written in, such as task frequencies or how issues are raised and followed up, we’ll agree those with you rather than handing over a generic template.
  4. Access and keys. We confirm entry, alarm codes, sign-in rules and who to contact out of hours.
  5. Cleaning and checks. Each visit finishes with a check against the agreed tasks. If something in scope has been missed, let us know promptly and we’ll arrange to put it right.
  6. Review. Offices change. Teams grow, hybrid days shift and new kitchens get fitted. We’ll adjust the schedule when your needs do.

What you prepare: clear desks if you want them fully wiped, a space to store supplies, and a named contact for access questions. We handle the rest, including bringing equipment and cleaning products unless we’ve agreed to use yours.

Keys, alarms and building security

Secure premises need clear arrangements, and we’ll set them up before the first visit:

  • Keys or fobs held securely and labelled with no address details
  • Alarm codes shared only with the cleaners assigned to your site
  • Sign-in procedures followed for managed buildings, including concierge desks and lift access cards common in larger E office blocks
  • Agreed locking-up routine, with windows checked and lights off when we leave
  • A contact number if we arrive to find the alarm set differently or a door left open

Our cleaners are vetted and insured. If your landlord or managing agent needs our insurance details for the building file, we can provide them.

What changes the price of office cleaning

We don’t quote purely by the square foot. Floor area matters, but two offices of the same size can need very different amounts of time. A quote reflects:

  • Size and layout. Open-plan floors clean faster than many small rooms.
  • Fixtures. The number of washrooms, kitchens and tea points
  • Condition. A first clean after months of light attention takes longer than ongoing upkeep.
  • Frequency. Regular visits keep each one shorter.
  • Task list. Rotating extras such as glass partitions, skirting boards or fridge clear-outs
  • Specialist work. Carpet extraction, high-level access or deep kitchen cleans
  • Access and timing. Building access restrictions, parking for equipment and out-of-hours timing

You can see how we work out costs on our pricing page, or send us your floor plan and we’ll quote properly.

Keeping office hygiene consistent

Good office hygiene comes down to habits that stop dirt being moved from one place to another:

  • Colour-coded cloths, with separate cloths for washrooms, kitchens and general areas, so a toilet cloth never touches a worktop
  • Products used at the dilution and contact time on the label, not guessed
  • Food-prep surfaces wiped down so they’re safe to use straight after, with no leftover product residue
  • Floors left with wet-floor signs until they’re dry, which matters most for morning cleans before staff arrive
  • Eco-friendly products on request, checked for suitability on each surface

Cleaning reduces dirt and germs on the surfaces we treat. It won’t make an office sterile, and we won’t claim otherwise.

What office managers say

“We’re a team of twelve in a shared building and the kitchen was a constant argument. Since the evening cleans started it’s just done. The fridge gets cleared on the first Friday of every month and everyone knows to label their stuff.” Hannah W., Shoreditch, office cleaning

“Our building has strict sign-in rules and fob access after 7pm. They sorted it all with the concierge before the first visit, which saved me a lot of emails.” Daniel O., Canary Wharf, out of hours cleaning

“Good with our oak desks. They asked what finish they had before using anything on them.” Ruth M., Walthamstow, office cleaning

“We moved floors mid-contract and they came back to walk the new space and adjust the list. Washrooms are spotless most mornings, and the one time the paper towels ran short they topped them up the next day.” Kemi A., Stratford, daily office cleaning

Office cleaning FAQs

Do you clean outside office hours? Yes. Early morning and evening cleans are common, and we’ll work to your building’s access times. Weekend visits can be arranged for periodic deep cleans, subject to availability.

Do we need to sign a long contract? Not necessarily. We agree the scope, frequency and notice terms with you when we set up the service, and we’ll review the schedule as your office changes.

Can you hold our keys and alarm codes? Yes. Keys and fobs are stored securely without address labels, and codes go only to the cleaners assigned to your site. We’ll agree the locking-up routine in advance.

Will you clean computers and phones? Usually, if it’s on the agreed list. We wipe switched-off equipment with a lightly dampened cloth and never spray onto electronics. Anything you’d rather we left alone, we’ll leave.

Do you supply washroom consumables? We can. Some offices prefer to buy their own soap, towels and toilet rolls, and we’ll restock from your supply. Others add consumables to the quote. Tell us which suits you.

Can you clean a small office of three or four desks? Yes. Small offices across East London are a big part of commercial cleaning, and a weekly or twice-weekly visit is often enough.

What happens if something’s missed? Contact us promptly and we’ll arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm how and when to report issues when we set up your service.
