Booking Questions in East London
How do I get a quote?
Send us a few details and we’ll come back with a free, no-obligation quote. The most useful things to tell us are:
- Property type and size (bedrooms, bathrooms, any extra living space)
- The kind of clean you want: regular, one-off, deep, move-out or commercial
- Its current condition, including anything specific like a heavily used oven or limescale build-up
- Preferred dates and times
- Access arrangements and parking
- Photos, if it’s a one-off job
You can do all of this through our quote request form. For offices, shops and larger commercial premises we may suggest a walkthrough first, so we can see the layout and agree the right schedule.
Is the price agreed before you start?
Yes. We agree the scope, the price and any extras before any work begins. That price is based on the property size, condition, the tasks on the list, how often we’re visiting and access.
If you add something on the day, such as the inside of the fridge or an extra room, we’ll talk it through with you first rather than adding it quietly.
Do you cover my postcode?
We work across East London and the E area, including Stratford, Hackney, Bethnal Green, Leyton, Forest Gate, Poplar, Wapping and Walthamstow. Send us your postcode when you enquire and we’ll confirm coverage and the slots we can offer.
Can you come at short notice?
Sometimes. Short-notice and next-day slots depend on what’s already in the diary, so we can’t guarantee them. Call rather than email if it’s urgent, as that’s the quickest way for us to check what’s possible.
Products and Equipment in East London
Do cleaners bring their own supplies?
Yes, we bring cleaning products and equipment unless we’ve agreed otherwise. That usually means microfibre cloths, surface and bathroom products, limescale remover, a vacuum and mops.
If you’d prefer us to use your own vacuum or a specific product, for example a particular cleaner for your oak floors, just tell us when booking.
Can you use eco-friendly products?
Yes, on request. Our eco cleaning option uses gentler products where they suit the job, and we check them against each surface. Some tasks, like a thick layer of limescale on a shower screen in a hard-water area, may still need a stronger product. If that comes up, we’ll explain and agree it with you first.
What should I tell you about delicate surfaces, pets or allergies?
Tell us before the visit about anything that needs care. Common ones include:
- Natural stone such as marble or limestone worktops, which acid-based products can etch
- Unsealed or oiled wood floors and tables
- High-gloss or lacquered kitchen doors that scratch easily
- Pets that need to be kept in a room, or that shouldn’t go out the front door
- Allergies or sensitivities in the household, so we can choose products accordingly
We can’t promise to remove every allergen, but knowing in advance lets us plan sensibly.
Access and Keys in East London
Do I need to be home during the clean?
No. Plenty of customers are at work while we clean. We’ll agree access, key handling and arrival arrangements in advance. That might mean meeting you on the first visit, collecting keys, using a key safe or a concierge, or having a neighbour let us in.
How do you handle keys and building access?
We agree the arrangement with you before the visit and stick to it. For flats in managed blocks around Stratford or Canary Wharf, let us know about fob entry, concierge sign-in, lift booking for larger jobs and where we can park or unload. Visitor parking can be tight in parts of E postcodes, so a note about permits or bays saves time on the day.
For end-of-tenancy work, tell us where keys should go at the end, for example back to the agent or into a key safe.
Time, Preparation and Types of Clean
How long does a regular clean take?
It depends on the size of the home, how often we visit and what’s on the priorities list. A small flat cleaned every week takes far less time than a four-bedroom house with a fortnightly visit and a busy kitchen.
We’ll suggest a sensible length when quoting. For regular cleaning, the first visit often takes longer because we’re bringing things up to a standard that’s easier to maintain afterwards.
What’s included in a regular visit?
We follow an agreed priorities list for your home. That typically covers kitchen worktops, sink and hob, bathrooms, dusting reachable surfaces, vacuuming and mopping floors, and emptying bins. Inside the oven, carpet extraction, high-level work and external windows aren’t part of a routine visit. We quote those separately if you’d like them.
How should I prepare for a deep clean?
A little preparation means more of our time goes on the cleaning itself:
- Clear surfaces where you can, so worktops, shelves and bathroom ledges are reachable.
- Empty kitchen cupboards if you want the insides cleaned. We can’t clean properly around a full shelf of tins.
- Defrost the freezer beforehand if it’s on the list.
- Pick up floor clutter, such as toys, shoes and cables, so we can reach skirting boards and under furniture.
- Point out problem areas, like the greasy extractor filter or the mould line in the shower sealant.
Our deep cleaning service goes well beyond a routine visit, so the more clearly we agree the list, the better the result.
Can you guarantee I’ll get my deposit back?
No cleaner can guarantee a deposit return or an inventory pass. For end-of-tenancy cleaning, we work to an agreed room-by-room checklist based on your inventory or the agent’s cleaning requirements. Send it to us when you book. Cleaning can’t fix wear, damage or old stains that have set, but a thorough, well-planned clean gives you the best footing at check-out.
Cancellation, Rescheduling and Missed Tasks
What’s your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
We’ll confirm the notice period and any charges for late cancellation when you book, so you know where you stand before the first visit. If you need to move a clean, tell us as early as you can and we’ll offer the nearest available slot. For regular customers, we’ll also talk about what happens with holidays.
What if I’m not satisfied with the clean?
Contact us promptly and tell us what’s wrong. Photos help. We finish every job with a check against the agreed tasks, but if something in scope has been missed, we’ll arrange to put it right.
We’ll confirm re-clean eligibility and the reporting window when you book. It’s worth reporting quickly, especially after a move-out, because once someone else has used the property it’s hard to tell what was missed and what’s new.
Payments and Receipts in East London
How do I pay, and can I get a receipt?
We’ll confirm payment methods and timing when your booking is confirmed. Receipts are available, which landlords, letting agents and businesses often need for their records. If you need invoices addressed to a company or split across properties, tell us at the quote stage and we’ll set it up.
Still Have a Question?
Ring us on 020 3947 0917 or email info@cleaning-east-london.co.uk with your postcode, property size and the clean you have in mind. We’ll answer your question, agree the scope and give you a clear price before anything’s booked.
